228 Immersion / mortise conductivity sensor

The 228 has a robust construction similar to that of the 226. A metal frame supports the cores and reinforces the mounting shaft so that the sensor can withstand vibration, such as in the shaker flutes. Metal frame and cores are molded with PEEK (glass filled) or Tefzel (glass filled or unfilled). There are no joints or welds in the sensor that could cause leakage and failure.

Retract assemblies allow the 228 to be removed from pipelines and tanks without stopping or draining equipment. Manual and mechanical retraction assemblies are available. Each requires a 1-1 / 2 inch full bore ball valve, which must be ordered separately. Two flush holes in the retraction section allow you to clean corrosive fluids from the sensor before removing it. The device is ideal for use in chemical redox processes and for installation in a steam-water path.
